STOP...NO and DONT...

Those are the 3 words i have been using as of lately since getting my dog Brownee. Its like getting a 2 year old kid. The House training thing is the WORST!! For the most part, i've kinda figured out when she has to use it...so im taking her out constantly to do it outside. The killer is that when i leave for work, she's in the cage all day...so sometimes she tend to relieve herself during that time. After a long ass day at work, im really not trying to clean up some piss....or other.

Overall, its hasn't been a horrible time. I can appreciate the companionship that she has to offer. she's always happy to see me ( or just happy to get that damn cage) so thats a cool thing. Most people that know me have been wondering wtf im doing with a dog. But its working out slowly but surely.

Having her has really changed my lifestyle. I have to come home right after work...NOT used to that . Having to worry about feeding someone, caring and all that . Living in singledom...used to just coming and going when i feel.

I really want this to work out. Im not a quitter. I can figure this dog owner thing out. Brownee will not conquer me.... i hope not, lol.

It is VERY trying training a dog...that's for certain.I think the first few months Henna thought her name was NO!! But with time and ALOT of patience we made it work and so will you. You are by no means a quitter and I think you're doing great with Brownee. Keep up the good work!!

I wish I could offer you words of encouragement, but damn if I didn't quit my cat after three short days. I just couldn't deal with that litter box, her jumping on my bed in the middle of the night wanting to play, etc.

It sounds like you really want things to work with the leady lady in your life though.

LOL...don't let her conquer you man!

Take it from someone who has a 2-year-old and who never thought parenting was for her. It is SO possible. It does require you to be a LOT LESS selfish so be prepared for that. I see that you already are getting there with going straight home from work.

Look at it this way, she's a learning experience and a way for you to ease out of the bachelor lifestyle.

Slowly but surely, you'll get it.
