STOP...NO and DONT...

Those are the 3 words i have been using as of lately since getting my dog Brownee. Its like getting a 2 year old kid. The House training thing is the WORST!! For the most part, i've kinda figured out when she has to use it...so im taking her out constantly to do it outside. The killer is that when i leave for work, she's in the cage all day...so sometimes she tend to relieve herself during that time. After a long ass day at work, im really not trying to clean up some piss....or other.
Overall, its hasn't been a horrible time. I can appreciate the companionship that she has to offer. she's always happy to see me ( or just happy to get that damn cage) so thats a cool thing. Most people that know me have been wondering wtf im doing with a dog. But its working out slowly but surely.
Having her has really changed my lifestyle. I have to come home right after work...NOT used to that . Having to worry about feeding someone, caring and all that . Living in singledom...used to just coming and going when i feel.
I really want this to work out. Im not a quitter. I can figure this dog owner thing out. Brownee will not conquer me.... i hope not, lol.

You blood and all, but...
So about a month or so, I let my sis use my car.
Now a lil background...I really LOVE my sis. Shanae is 4 years younger. We done been thru it all. We're pretty close. For the most part, will do almost anything for my lil sis. I remember when she got preggos with Marcus, i was the only one she was was scared to tell (prob cuz i wanted to rip the baby-daddy head off). Truly love my sis.
But back to the story. So she got my ride. Somehow, she locks the keys in the car while she was at work. Now...don't know WTF she was thinking, or the folks around her was thinking ...
But she breaks the damn window to get in the car!!! and not one of the moving windows, the stationary corner window in the back...you know, that triangle looking one. So she calls me AFTER she breaks the window....order of operation all fucked up!!! Im super pissed. And i have spare keys at the crib, which if she would of called BEFORE breaking the window, i wouldn't even be writing this blog.
I went to finally get the window replaced...cuz hell, its Michigan...and COLD. Now, if i was to break somebody stuff..first thing i wanna to it get it taken care of. Meaning that IM going to pay for it. So last week i gave the receipt for the window..telling she needs to take care of that. i havent got a responce yet. But im thinkin ima have to be more direct in my approach....like " nukka, run my cash!!!" lol.

And her name is Brownee..

When i was younger, we live in the projects. Being there, we wasn't suppose to have dogs or cats. So i always had aquarium pets...lizards, snakes and fish for the most part. To be honest, just seen dogs or cats as a big responsibility. Gotta get food...clean up there mess, ect. Guess i never seen the companion part of them.
SOOOOOOOOOOO.....i decided to venture out, on to uncharted waters, and get a dog!!! Brownee is 8 week old Chocolate Lab/Rottweiler . She's really a layed back pup. So far, just really lounges around the house. The BIGGEST issue i know is the house training. But for the first day, i got her to do the number 1's and 2's outside!!!! I was TOO hyped!!! Hell, i think she saw the happyness in my eyes, lol.
I had my reservations about it, beleive me. But im thinkin that this is gonna work out just fine. She's the leading lady in my life at the moment, lol. I'll keep you folks posted on how things work out.

-(Pictured above) A Persimmon is a fruit of a number of species of trees of the genus Diospyros in the ebony wood family (Ebenaceae), and the edible fruit borne by them. The word persimmon is derived from putchamin, pasiminan, or pessamin, from Powhatan, an Algonquian language (related to Blackfeet, Cree and Mohican) of the eastern United States, meaning "a dry fruit".[1] Persimmons are generally light yellow-orange to dark red-orange in color, and depending on the species, vary in size from 1.5-9 cm (0.5-4 in) diameter, and may be spherical, acorn-, or pumpkin-shaped.[2] The calyx often remains attached to the fruit after harvesting, but becomes easier to remove as it ripens. They are high in glucose, with a balanced protein profile, and possess various medicinal and chemical uses.
All that to say....looks like a tomatoe...tast well, kinda blah. and leaves you with severe cotton mouth if not ripe..
Well, i know...kinda boring, but oh well..lol.

Lazy Snowy Saturdays...

So thats a picture looking out my window on my front door....ahh...the snowy streets of the "D". Its not too cold out...just the DAMN snow! Its kinda funny, because this season comes every year...and folks still complain like Michigan just started getting snow this year. Born and raised here, don't really understand folks. News flash....its Michigan....SNOW HAPPPENS!!
But what i do complain about it the freakin (not the word i wanted to use) energy bills. Now, i live alone..love it! And I'm not a person needing to be extra warm. In fact, my heat don't go past 70 degrees unless folks over . I'm always accused of being stingy with heat, lol...but i try to accommodate my company. But after 2 straight months of $200 energy bills....nukkas better be bringing blankets over here!!
But i do love Saturdays . Normally I'm doing a whole bunch of nothing. But I'm getting new coffee and end tables for my crib today!!! super geeked! I've lived in my place for about 3 or years and its just been "the crib". But I'm trying to make the crib a home. I'm renting, so its like i don't know how long I'll be here, so we'll see.
Until next time folks..

Da Blogs.....

So as some of you may know....or have seen, I'm new to this whole "blog" thing. I tend to read more than i write..and boy...its some interesting folk out here!!. I mean..from poems, to lively pictures...political views, it gets deep. And then i see the ones about just everyday life, which i think i enjoy most. Its giving me an opportunity to vent mostly, which i can really appreciate. Brotha be needing to vent!!
Im not a big writer at all, but its really pushing me to go to parts of my brain i rarely use...the part that normally abbreviates things...hmm......doesn't sound right, lol. Well, for example...if i had to describe my writing...as far as getting to the point...i would be a helicopter. just take right off...none of that riding in circles mess...just up up and away. Most folks are like big ass jets...using all the runway available to get a story of the ground. But , i can say that i appreciate them folks...gives me something to read . I'm trying folks...trying. So keep me on your visiting list....hell, subscribe! lol, you don't have to....well, maybe so...its up to you .

A blog (a portmanteau of web log) is a website where entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Random stuff....
Now with that said...here goes. Wasn't really in the mood to blog today, but waiting for my car to heat up since its 5 degrees out ...so had a couple of random things to yap about for the moment.
-So watching the playoff games yesterday at the bar...glad the Giants won...had a cool bet on that game. Was this chick at the bar. Just so so so so animated. Kinda reminded me of the black Jessica the Rabbit. Kept making this funny facial expressions..like she was looking in the mirror or something. Was SUPER funny. Was acting like a hood super model or something. Kept referencing to the wine she was drinking as "white ziff"...stomach was super tight laughing at her!!! Made my day (other than the Giants winning)!!!
-Rented a couple movies last night . Wild Hogs (fell asleep early in the movie...dont know about this one...Martin better make it funny !) . Also got Disturbia and Illegal Tender. Hoping that those are good ones.
-"Why do I need I.D. to get I.D......if i had I.D...i wouldn't need I.D". Now, that was really random, But was a crazy verse from Mos Def on Common's "Like water for chocolate" album..classic!!
-Back to Martin....why he gotta be named Roscoe in his new Movie...
I know this was super random, but that was the title of the blog. Car is...well, i hope warm now, so im out.
Until the next time

Mind yours...Cuz im Minding Mines
Hate to start off the year complaining....but i will. If you looked up hater in the dictionary, you'd see a co-worker of mines. A real low life dude. I mean, NO people skills at all. Had a small confrontation with the guy a couple weeks ago...went to the bosses on me!!! My first thoughts was to chop him in the neck....but would of been counterproductive to me having a job and all. The whole thing got squashed, but i don't have 2 shits to say to the guy. Just nuts how folks try to play hall monitor that don't have any say over nothing...hell, we got hired at the same time. Peer to peer management aint happening here!! I just wanna come to work, bust out my projects, and go home..thats it. I dont worry about others work schedule, when they take lunch ( which this mutha***** was asking folks when i take lunch...wtf?!!!) ...none of that . I just worry about Jackie's oldest boy (that'd be me). So just hoping the work atmosphere gets better. Anyhow, until the next one....

2008 and forever...
One good one folks are good at doing in there resolutions is the weight related ones. I find myself on the bandwagon with that one alot. But I NEED TO THIS TIME AROUND!!!! I went from a stand up job...constantly walking around and so forth to sitting on my tush for 8 plus hours a day...and im so so so feeling the effects. African americans are horrible for having sad eating habits, and i know i fit that category. In saying all of this, my goals in the weight category is finding time to get in better shape and start changing my eating habits. So ask me every now and then hows that going and i'll try my hardest to be truthful as i can, lol .
And OMG!!!!! my 10 year high school reunion is this in 2008. Just dont seem like its been 10 years. I remember during my 9th grade year...sitting in the lunch room trying to look older so that the upperclassmen wouldn't mess with me, lol. But im looking forward to it. Funny, i keep thinking about episode of Martin when he went to his reunion (pretty Ricky Fontaine , lol) ...hoping for a less dramatic time.
Well, as my disclaimer says in the 1st post, I'm a little short on words...so i'm out. You all may get lucky to get another posting before the new year. But if not...be safe....drink responsibly..and have fun!!

The Lame Duck Speaketh....
Need I have to even say anything...the article speaks for it self.
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush vetoed an expansion of the federally funded, state-run health insurance program for poor children for a second time Wednesday, telling Congress the bill "moves our country's health care system in the wrong direction."
In his veto message, President Bush calls on Congress to extend funding for the current program.
In his veto message, Bush said the bill is almost a duplicate of the proposal he spiked in October.
"Because the Congress has chosen to send me an essentially identical bill that has the same problems as the flawed bill I previously vetoed, I must veto this legislation, too," he said in a statement released by the White House.
The bill would have expanded the State Children's Health Insurance Program by nearly $35 billion over five years, the same as the measure Bush vetoed October 3.
The president had proposed adding $5 billion to the program and said the version he vetoed would have encouraged families to leave the private insurance market for the federally funded, state-run program.
Democratic leaders said the new version addressed Republican objections by tightening restrictions on illegal immigrants receiving SCHIP benefits, capping the income levels of families that qualify for the program and preventing adults from receiving benefits.
Though the measure had strong bipartisan support, it fell short of the two-thirds majorities needed to override a presidential veto in the House and Senate.
House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said Democrats were more interested in scoring political points with the veto than in reaching a compromise with Republicans.
"We could have resolved the differences in his program in 10 minutes, if the majority had wanted to resolve the differences," Boehner said. "This has become a partisan political game."
The program currently covers about 6 million children whose parents earn too much to qualify for Medicaid -- the federal health insurance program for the poor -- but who can't afford private insurance.
Democrats wanted to extend the program to another 4 million, paying for it with a 61-cent-per-pack increase in the federal tax on cigarettes.
"What a sad day that the president would say that rather than insuring [millions of] children, 'I don't want to raise the cigarette tax,' " said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
She called for a January 23 vote on whether to override the veto.
Meanwhile, Bush called on Congress to extend funding for the current program to keep the 6 million now covered on the rolls. So the next Pres dont have HAVE to be Obama....lets just get someone that cares.

In the last 3 years or so since i've been in my house, I can count on my hand the times i've have had kids come by for work.
